Vision
Our vision is to develop the Solent Centre for Architecture + Design as a vehicle to promote design of the highest quality in the built environment with twin emphases on achieving both environmental and social sustainability.

Aims
Underpinning this overall vision are three specific aims:

• To advocate the value of good design amongst decision makers, industry, practitioners, professionals and the community, and provide strong leadership within the Solent area on design issues.
• To provide regular opportunities for all those concerned with creating, managing and using the built environment to share best practice, develop skills and confidence, and to access expertise.
• To improve understanding of the importance of good design of the built environment at the local level and the role people can have in shaping it.
