Design Awards shortlist announced today!

The 12 finalists for the new PUSH sponsored Solent Design Awards have been announced today.  They include a variety of schemes throughout the PUSH area from redesigned streets and public spaces to new university buildings, a school and housing developments.  Paul Grover, CEO of the Solent Centre said that he hoped that the design awards would encourage people to take design more seriously, especially at a time when money was still tight and it is even more important that quality of design in the built environment is not compromised.  You can vote for your favourite scheme by visiting www.solentdesignawards.org.uk - the scheme which attracts the most votes will win the 'People's Choice' category.  All the awards winners will be announced at a ceremony on 27th October.
