The Solent Centre for Architecture + Design has been created to play a catalytic role in achieving excellence in Architecture and the designed environment. It operates mainly in the Solent area including the whole of Hampshire and also the bordering areas along the south coast.
 
We are now developing and delivering a number of groundbreaking projects around the region.  Click on the programme areas to the left to find out what we are doing in our three key focus areas, education, participation and design advocacy.
 
City Vision Southampton- The first of our proposed City Vision Centres opened in Southampton on 21st May 2008.  Based around a large scale model, City Vision Southampton is a permanent, easily updatable exhibition of new developments and designed to be a catalyst for quality design in the city.

New Forest Tree House
- Blue Forest have now completed the main tree house site.  There is an exhibition of the whole design and build process held at The Millais Gallery, Southampton Solent University. 24th July - September.
 
Hidden Histories- This exciting new heritage trail launched in Central Southampton on 14th March 2008. It uncovers the treasures of Southampton's Oral History Archive through a revolutionary new concept of Street Radio.
