“Learning by Design Open Day” was held on the 14th March 2007 at the Lanterns Centre in Winchester. The event was organised in partnership with Open House London.

The Lanterns Centre is a Children’s Centre designed by Hampshire County Council's architects. The building has been well recognised for its architectural design; the main reason of the day was to take the opportunity to show Head Teachers, Architects and other education authorities around the building.

The day was split into 4 tours and was led by Rosie Danby a member of the Solent Centre team.
